There were rumours that they had split up.
But Liam Payne and Sophia Smith put on a very united front over the weekend when they were snapped leaving a hotel hand-in-hand.
‘Nice romantic moment when….’ Liam captioned the shot.
It was believed that the pair had split up last month after Liam posted some rather cryptic tweets which appeared to show him pining for his ex, Danielle Peaser.
He kicked off his tweet binge with: ‘Can't be without you’
Followed by: ‘Worse thing I ever did was let you go (sic)’
Followed by: ‘No all I got left is the thought of you’.
We, along with many others, thought that it all definitely stunk of Payzer.
Around the same time there were also rumours flying around that things between him and Sophia had cooled off after the couple were reportedly ‘growing increasingly distant’.
“Sophia’s worried that Liam’s growing more distant from her. He sometimes struggles to cope with the fame. It’s as if he’s taking it out on her,” a source revealed to heat.
“She wants to be the person who helps him through the good and bad times, but he keeps her at a distance. Then he posts cryptic tweets like ‘nobody really knows me’ at 4am.”
However, they are certainly back together now judging by these latest photos.
Although over the weekend we got a bit of a shock when Liam declared he was in love ‘with a man’.
Some clarification was immediately needed.
However, Sophia can sleep easy because Liam was talking about his platonic love for none other than the KFC colonel.
We can understand his infatuation – we are also pretty in love with him too.
